🪔 About

Ahana Deol, born on July 28, 1985, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, is an Indian classical dancer, filmmaker, and fashion designer. She is the younger daughter of veteran Indian film actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, and sister to Esha Deol. Ahana trained in the Odissi style of Indian classical dance under Guru Rabindra Atibuddhi from a young age. She is an accomplished Odissi dancer and has performed both in India and internationally, including at the renowned Khajuraho Dance Festival. While primarily trained in Odissi, some sources also refer to her as a Bharatanatyam dancer, and she has performed in productions that include both Bharatanatyam and Odissi alongside her mother and sister. Ahana frequently performs in stage shows with her mother, Hema Malini, and sister, Esha Deol, notably in a production called "Parampara" which they performed in New York in 2011. Beyond dance, Ahana has pursued interests in filmmaking, completing courses from Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods Institute and a film school in New York. She also worked as an assistant director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2010 film "Guzaarish." Ahana Deol married Delhi-based businessman Vaibhav Vohra on February 2, 2014. She currently resides in Mumbai, India.
