Archana Srinivas

Archana Srinivas is an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer and teacher based in Sydney, Australia. She has dedicated over 17 years to refining her skills in this traditional Indian dance form. Her foundational training began in India at the Matruka Cultural Trust, where she studied under the guidance of Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Vidya Ravishankar, nurturing her in the renowned Mysore Bani style. She continued her learning journey with Shri Umamaheshwara Kalakshetra Trust. Currently, Archana Srinivas is pursuing her Vidwath training under Guru Vidushi Pallavi Bhagavath at Natyokthi Dance School in Sydney, Australia. She also serves as an Assistant Teacher at Natyokthi. Beyond Bharatnatyam, she has received training in other Indian classical dance forms, including Kathak. Archana has demonstrated her versatility by successfully completing preliminary level exams (junior) in music. Her creative talents extend to choreographing classical, folk, and Indian semi-classical forms for various events, and she has conducted workshops and training sessions in Chennai, Udupi, Bengaluru, and Sydney. She has also enhanced her skills by attending Abhinaya and Yoga workshops conducted by Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre. Outside of her dance career, Archana Srinivas works full-time as an IT Project Manager with the Government of New South Wales.
