Vidhushi Pallavi Bhagavath is a distinguished Indian classical dancer, teacher, choreographer, and the founder and director of Natyokthi Dance School. Her journey in Indian classical dance commenced at the tender age of nine, driven by a profound love for Bharatanatyam. She received her foundational training in the Pandanallur and Vazhuvoor styles of Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Guru Balakrishna Natya Nilayam. This rigorous training culminated in her Arangetram in 1998, at the age of fifteen, held at the prestigious Mangalore Town Hall. Subsequently, Pallavi Bhagavath pursued her Senior and Vidhwath studies under the esteemed guidance of Karnataka Kalashree, Vidhushi Kamala Bhat. Her exceptional talent was recognized when she secured the top position in both these examinations, conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Board. Her artistic versatility extends beyond Bharatanatyam to include Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak, all of which she has performed and presented in various events, festivals, and workshops. She has choreographed and performed on numerous renowned stages and temples across Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Sydney. Notable performances in dance dramas include portraying Shiva in Daksha Yajna, Yashoda in Krishnavataram, and Krishna in Parijatha. She has also been a member of Karnataka Kalashree Vaijayanthi Kashi's Kuchipudi performance team. Among her accolades are the "Kalathilaka" award received at the Kerala Youth Festival, and scholarships from both the Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy and Kalakshetra Chennai. She has also served as a judge, examiner, and choreographer for various dance competitions. As the Director of Natyokthi Dance School, based in Sydney, Australia, Vidhushi Pallavi Bhagavath is dedicated to preserving and propagating Indian classical dance forms. The school offers Bharatanatyam classes in Epping and Rouse Hill, NSW, Australia, and is an authorized exam center for Sanchari Kala Parishad, an Indian government-recognized board. She fosters a learning environment that encourages students to develop into future teachers, emphasizing a holistic approach to dance.
