Krithika Rajkumar is an accomplished Bharatanatyam artiste, performer, and teacher with a career spanning over 25 years. Born in Chennai, India, she moved to the United States at the age of four and grew up in Auburn Hills, Michigan. She performed her Arangetram in May 2004 at the age of 12, marking the beginning of her journey as a classical dancer. Throughout her career, Rajkumar has been featured in numerous dance productions, including the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana's 'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharata,' NaMaargam Dance Company's 'NaMaargam,' and Spilling Ink Dance Project's 'Alekhya.' Her excellence in dance has garnered media attention, including a feature in the February 2008 issue of Dance Magazine under "Wunder Kids, Child Prodigies in Dance." She has received several awards for her performances in both the U.S. and India. Beyond her performing career, Krithika Rajkumar is also a dedicated educator. She founded the Krithika School of Dance in London, where she continues to impart her knowledge of Bharatanatyam. Prior to establishing her own academy, she served as a Bharatanatyam teacher at the London Tamil Sangam from 2012 to 2021, where she trained over 50 students. Her teaching extends to collaborating with community organizations in London to offer introductory workshops, educational sessions in schools, and therapeutic dance programs, making Bharatanatyam accessible to diverse audiences. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Krithika Rajkumar holds a law degree and works as a trial attorney in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also the Head of Legal & Compliance at CAREspaces, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering conscientious and ethical workspaces within the Indian creative arts communities.
