Lakshmi Bhavani Konduru is a dedicated Kuchipudi dancer, performer, and teacher with over two decades of experience in the art form. She began her Kuchipudi journey under the tutelage of the legendary Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam at the Kuchipudi Art Academy, Hyderabad. Her training continued with esteemed gurus Sri Mahankali Mohan and Sri Chinta Adinarayana Sarma. Further solidifying her academic foundation in dance, Konduru earned a Master's Degree in Performing Arts (Kuchipudi) from the University of Hyderabad in 1997. During her Master's program, she had the privilege of refining her skills under renowned figures such as Dr. Sri Nataraja Ramakrishna, Dr. PSR Appa Rao, Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan, and Sri Kala Krishna, as well as learning from Prof. Anuradha Jonnalagadda, Dr. Aruna Bhikshu, Ms. Priya Karthikeyan, and Prof. Pasumarthi Ramalinga Sastry. Konduru is known for adhering to the distinctive style of her primary guru, Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, which emphasizes sophistication and clean resolution of dance movements. Beyond performing and teaching, she has also explored the therapeutic applications of dance, utilizing Kuchipudi movements as a technique to assist children with special needs. She offers both online classes for a global student base and in-person instruction in the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly near Fremont, California.
