She holds a Master's degree in Bharatanatyam from Tamil University, demonstrating her deep academic and practical understanding of the art form. Ghosal has achieved the distinction of being an "A grade" Bharatanatyam artist of Doordarshan Kendra Kolkata, a significant recognition in India's national public broadcaster, affirming her high artistic merit and performance quality. Based in Kolkata, India, Madhushree Ghosal maintains an active career as a lead dancer and a versatile freelance dance professional, performing across both classical and creative dance genres. Her commitment to dance extends to education and institution building; she serves as a director of "Shinjan - Institute of Bharatanatyam & Creative Dance." This institution, which has branches in areas like Laketown and Kalighat in Kolkata, was established in 1987 and is dedicated to imparting training in Bharatanatyam and Creative Dance. Under her guidance, Shinjan provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students of all ages, fostering creativity and skill development through experienced instructors. Ghosal's performance repertoire is extensive and well-documented, particularly on her popular YouTube channel. She has showcased a range of solo Bharatanatyam pieces, including an Abhang titled "Jagado Dharana," choreographed by the renowned Smt.
