Manasi Prasad is a highly accomplished Indian classical artist, renowned as both a Carnatic vocalist and a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She is recognized for her multifaceted artistic abilities, seamlessly integrating her singing and dancing talents in performances. Prasad has performed extensively across India and in countries across six continents, including the US, Europe, South America, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East. Her artistic journey began at a young age, influenced by her mother, Carnatic vocalist Tara Prasad. She developed a love for Bharatanatyam after her family returned to India in 1990, giving her first dance performance at age 13. Beyond her performing career, Manasi Prasad is also an eloquent orator and arts manager. She holds an engineering degree and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where she was awarded the prestigious Aditya Birla Scholarship. She has served as the Museum Director of the Indian Music Experience Museum (IME) in Bengaluru, India's first interactive music museum, demonstrating her commitment to promoting Indian arts and culture. Prasad also delivers talks, workshops, and lecture demonstrations to corporate and student audiences, connecting the arts to contemporary society. She has conceptualized and presented unique productions, including "Giridhara Mira," a solo music-dance feature bringing Mirabai's story to life through her singing and dancing.
