Mrs. Dina Sheth is a prominent figure in Indian classical dance, serving as the Founder and Director of Kruti Dance Academy, based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Born in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, she holds degrees in Microbiology and Indian Classical dance from M.S. University Vadodara. After moving to the USA following her marriage, she pursued further education in Microbiology at George Washington University. Her journey into dance instruction began in 1995, initially teaching Bharatanatyam from her basement to her children and neighborhood kids, driven by a desire to connect Indian-American youth with their cultural heritage. Under her leadership, Kruti Dance Academy has grown significantly, relocating from her home to a professional studio in Norcross in 1997, then to Global Mall in 2001, and eventually to a custom-built 9,000 sq. ft. facility in Duluth, GA. The academy, which she co-leads with her daughter and Artistic Director Shemoni Parekh, is recognized as a premier Indian dance institution in the United States. Mrs. Sheth has been teaching Indian classical, folk, and contemporary dance for over 35 years and has presided over more than 100 Arangetrams for her students. Her commitment to the advancement of fine arts and her artistic excellence have earned her wide acclaim. Kruti Dance Academy's repertoire has expanded beyond Bharatanatyam to include folk dances, Bhangra, Bollywood, Fusion, Mommy & Me, and Dance fitness classes.
