Ningthoujam Priyolata Devi is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Manipuri dance. She holds an M.A. in Manipuri Dance (2009) and an M.A. in Manipuri (Hons) (2007) from Manipur University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. Her foundational and advanced training in dance, including Jyotirmaya, Visharad, and Acharya courses, was completed at Shree Shree Govindaji Nartanalaya (Govt. Dance College). Priyolata Devi has been recognized with a Scholarship to Young Artists in Manipuri Dance (2001-02) and a Junior Fellowship in Manipuri Dance & Music (2011-12), both awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is also a DDK Imphal B-Grade approved artist. Her career includes significant teaching and performance experience. She has served as an examiner for the Man-Jagoi subject in the HSLC Examination in 2019 and 2020. She has taught Raas dance at the Government Dance College and Rabindra Nritya at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chandel, in 2013. Additionally, she gained five years of experience as an Assistant Dance Instructor at Sangeet Kala Sangam, Khurai Lamlong Bazar, and assisted in choreography for events like InnoVention 2010. Priyolata Devi has performed solo classical dance at the India International Dance Festival Imphal-2020 and participated in international events such as the 10th Surin International Folklore Festival in Thailand in 2015. She has also achieved first positions in classical solo dance competitions at the Manipur University Inter College Youth Festivals in 2004 and 2008, and the XX East Zone Inter University Youth Festival in 2004. Her gurus include notable figures like Guru Ranjit Adhikarimayum, Th. Thambaltombi Devi, and Dr. Moirangthem Macha Chaoreikanba. She has also contributed to academic discourse by authoring a paper titled "Deliniating Trimurti Gurus On The Progression Of The Manipuri Raas," published in 2021.
