Phulwa Khamkar, also known as Phulawa Khamkar, is an Indian choreographer and dancer born on September 17, 1974, in Mumbai, India. Her father, Anil Barve, was a Marathi literature writer. Khamkar completed her education at Balmohan Vidyamandir in Dadar and pursued an M.Com from the University of Mumbai. She received her initial dance training in Kathak from Ashatai Joglekar, and also trained in contemporary dance. Additionally, she was trained in gymnastics for 15 years. Khamkar has established a prominent career in the Indian entertainment industry, primarily working as a choreographer and dancer in Bollywood and Marathi films. She gained widespread recognition as the winner of India's first dance reality show, Boogie Woogie, Season 1 in 1997. Her reality television appearances also include being among the top 5 finalists in Dance India Dance Super Moms in 2013, and winning Zee Marathi's dance reality show Eka Peksha Ek (season 1), where she later served as a judge for its second and third seasons. Throughout her career, Khamkar has choreographed for numerous films, including the acclaimed Marathi film *Natarang* (2010), *Happy New Year* (2014), *Mitwaa* (2015), and *Julie 2* (2016). She trained actress Aishwarya Rai for the Bollywood film *Taal* and assisted Farah Khan for the song "Manwa Laage" in *Happy New Year*. Phulwa Khamkar is also the founder and head of Phulwa's School of Dance and Gymnastics in Mumbai. She is married to Amar Khamkar and they have a daughter named Asma. Her awards include the Zee Gaurav Award for Best Choreography for the song "Apsara Aali" from *Natarang* in 2010, the MAAI Award for the film *Mitwaa* in 2016, and the Chhatrapati Puraskar for gymnastics from the Government of Maharashtra. She also received the Best Choreographer Award for the film *Jhing Chik Jhing* and for *Luckdown Be Positive* at the 59th Maharashtra State Film Awards.
