Prnay Chopra is a classical Kuchipudi dancer and scientist based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He commenced his Kuchipudi training under Neena Gulati in Boston, where he developed a profound interest in the art form's theory, spirituality, and aesthetic. Seeking deeper understanding, he undertook intensive training for two years in Chennai, India, under the tutelage of Shri Jaikishore Mosalikanti and Smt. Padmavani, who are esteemed disciples of the legendary late Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. During his time in India, Prnay also received holistic training in Vedic philosophy, Sanskrit, Ayurveda, and yoga. He serves as an instructor at the Triveni School of Dance in Brookline, MA, where he has accumulated over 2000 hours of teaching experience, guiding students ranging in age from 5 to 55. Prnay also conducts workshops, such as "Spirituality in Motion," designed to introduce the foundational elements and philosophical aesthetics of Indian classical dance to non-dancers, which have been presented at various music and dance festivals, community events, and schools. Beyond his artistic pursuits, Prnay is a scientist, currently holding a position as a Senior Manager at Moderna, where he leads analytical method strategy for late-phase and commercial mRNA programs. His scientific career also includes leadership roles at Gritstone bio and research at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, focusing on neurogenetics and brain circuitry.
