Radha Anjali is an internationally acclaimed Indian classical Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and choreographer based in Vienna, Austria. She is considered the most prominent representative of this classical Indian dance style in Austria. Her initial dance training in Vienna was under Indian dancers Dilnawaz and Aban Banas. She later pursued extensive training in Bharatanatyam from renowned gurus Kama Dev in Vienna, and Kalanidhi Narayanan and Adyar K. Lakshman in Chennai, India. Radha Anjali also studied Kuchipudi under Kama Dev, at the Kuchipudi Art Academy, and with the acclaimed duo Raja and Radha Reddy between 2003 and 2004. Her training also includes Seraikella Chhau from Kama Dev, Pradeep Kar Memorial Trust, and Padma Shri Shashadhar Acharya, as well as Yoga under Guru Swami Yogeshwarananda Sarswati Maharaj (Vyas Dev) in Rishikesh from 1970 to 1985. She holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Vienna, with her thesis focusing on Indian Classical dance as a religious and philosophical phenomenon. Radha Anjali made her solo debut (arangetram) in Vienna in 1982 and in Chennai at the Mylapore Fine Arts Auditorium in 1983. She has performed extensively across Austria, Europe, and India, and was a dance partner in Kama Dev's Indian Dance Company. In 1983, she founded 'Natya Mandir', a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting classical Indian dance in Austria, where she serves as its director. Through Natya Mandir, she organizes concerts, lectures, exhibitions, dance classes, and workshops. She also teaches Bharatanatyam at the University of Vienna and has been the president of the Austrian-Indian Association since 2008. Her choreographic works include Rasa (2009), Sisya (2011), Sikhandi (2011), Matru Chhaya (2012), Guru Pranam (2012), Pranam in Memoriam of Kamadeva (2012), and Navagraha (2013). She has guided over 33 students through their arangetrams in Vienna.
