🪔 About

Remona Evette Pereira is a prodigious Indian classical dancer, primarily known for her mastery in Bharatanatyam. Born on November 4, 2005, in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India, she began her formal training in Bharatanatyam at the tender age of three under the tutelage of Guru Shrividya Muralidhar. She has been dedicated to the art form for over 13 years. Pereira gained international recognition in July 2025 when, at the age of 20, she set a new world record by performing Bharatanatyam continuously for an astonishing 170 hours, from July 21 to July 28, 2025. This monumental feat, undertaken at St. Aloysius College (Deemed to be University) in Mangaluru, where she is a final-year BA student, earned her a place in the Golden Book of World Records. Her performance surpassed the previous record of 127 hours. Beyond Bharatanatyam, Remona Evette Pereira is also trained in semi-classical, western, and contemporary dance forms. Her exceptional talent has been acknowledged with numerous accolades, including the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in 2022, India's highest civilian honor for exceptional achievers below 18. She also holds records in the India Book of Records, Golden Book of World Records (London), and Bharat Book of Records, all achieved in 2017. Pereira's ambition extends to promoting Indian classical dance among the younger generation, with a goal to establish a dance center for children and youth. Awards & Honours: Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (2022), Golden Book of World Records (for 170-hour Bharatanatyam performance) (2025), India Book of Records (2017), Golden Book of World Records – London (2017), Bharat Book of Records (2017).
