R.L.V. Radhakrishnan, born on April 5, 1959, is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Kathakali. He received extensive training in Kathakali Vesham for eight years under the tutelage of Kalamandalam Rajan. In addition to his primary focus on Kathakali, he also pursued studies in Kathakali Music for six years, as well as Carnatic Music and Bharathanatyam. Radhakrishnan is particularly recognized for his expertise in portraying 'Sthree' (female) and 'Pacha' (green) characters in Kathakali, though he is proficient in performing all other character types. His career has seen him perform Kathakali across India and internationally, including a notable trip to America organized by the Tourism Department of India, where he earned nine medals and certificates. He regularly performs "sthree" characters alongside A-grade artists both in India and abroad and has participated in various television programs. For his contributions to the art form, he has been honored with the Kaladarpana Award and an Award from R.L.V. College. Currently, R.L.V. Radhakrishnan serves as a Kathakali instructor at the Padmasree Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair Smaraka Kerala Kalalalayam. He is based in Thripunithura, Eranakulam, Kerala, India.
