Roopa Modha is a highly accomplished Indian classical dancer, teacher, and institution head, renowned for her multi-faceted career that also spans law, writing, and humanitarian advocacy. Trained in the classical forms of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi, she has achieved significant recognition in the dance world, holding over 50 world records, including three Guinness World Records, for her contributions to classical dance. Modha completed her arangetram in 2019, alongside her sister, and subsequently began teaching Indian classical dance that same year. She is the founder and CEO of Awaaz Arts, a platform dedicated to all art forms, fostering cultural exchange and artistic collaboration, and supporting young artists in achieving their dreams. Through Awaaz Arts, she works to celebrate artistic expression and preserve cultural traditions for global audiences. Beyond her artistic endeavors, Roopa Modha is an award-winning attorney with a Doctorate in Jurisprudence, specializing in Intellectual Property and Tax Law. She is also a prolific author, journalist, lyricist, and international television host. Her commitment to social impact is evident in her extensive philanthropic work, particularly her advocacy for women's rights and girls' education. She has been recognized by the White House as a Changemaker and an Anokhi Advocate for her efforts, which include fundraising millions of dollars for education and empowerment initiatives. Modha's diverse achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including the Ms. Regal World 2025–2026 title, where she represented the United States.
