Samanvitha Sharma is a versatile Indian artist recognized for her talents as a playback singer, concert performer, and classical dancer. Her journey in Indian classical dance encompasses training in both Bharatanatyam and Kathak. She performed her Bharatanatyam arangetram in 2000 at the age of 16. Subsequently, she pursued Kathak under the guidance of Gurus Kumari Nandini Mehta and Shri Murali Mohan at the Nartan Academy of Dance and Music (NADAM) for four years. Samanvitha eventually chose to dedicate herself entirely to Kathak, finding a deeper connection with the form and acknowledging the distinct grammatical structures of Bharatanatyam and Kathak. As a Kathak artist, Samanvitha Sharma is an auditioned performer on the panel of Doordarshan. She has performed extensively, both independently and as part of her gurus' troupe, and has toured internationally. Her performances have graced significant youth festivals, including 'ANKURA' organized by the Karnataka Nrityakala Parishat, 'UDAYONMUKHI' by the S.V.N. Academy, and 'BHARATANATYA NRITYOTSAVA' by the Central Sangeet Naatak Academy. In addition to her performance career, Samanvitha also contributes to the dance community by composing and arranging music specifically for Kathak dancers. She is a recipient of a scholarship from the Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy.
