Sanatan Chakravarty is an acclaimed Odissi dancer and a maestro teacher, recognized for his unwavering dedication to the classical Indian dance form. His journey in Odissi commenced under the guidance of dance legends, including Padmavibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, Guru Jhelum Paranjape, and Guru Rabindra Atibudhi. Chakravarty's career is distinguished by illustrious awards, captivating performances on international stages, and significant contributions to the preservation of Odissi. His artistic depth is further enriched by a diverse background in martial arts, gymnastics, tabla, and Indian vocal singing, as well as his involvement in classic English plays, all of which inform his unique teaching methodology. He is also a choreographer, creating original pieces that blend traditional Odissi with contemporary influences. Chakravarty actively conducts immersive Odissi workshops, offering tailored learning experiences to aspirants and reaching international audiences, including those in Russia, to propagate the art form.
