Sandra Pisharody is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Mohiniyattam, hailing from Irinjalakuda, Kerala. She began her training in Mohiniyattam at the age of five and had her arangetram (debut performance) in 2008. Pisharody is a senior disciple of the renowned Mohiniyattam exponent Guru Nirmala Paniker and is a performing artist of Natanakaisiki Mohiniyatta Gurukulam, Natanakairali, an institution dedicated to research, training, and performance of traditional art forms. She has also received intense abhinaya training under Guru Venuji. Throughout her career, Sandra Pisharody has performed extensively both in India and internationally, gracing major stages such as the Soorya Festival, Swaralaya Festival, Nishagandhi Festival, Mohini Nrityathi festivals, and the Indian International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi. Her international performances include stages in Tokyo and Brisbane. She is recognized for her graceful and natural presentation, embodying the typical Natana Kairali style inspired by the teachings of the late Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma. Pisharody is also a choreographer, having presented her own works, including a varnam dedicated to Lord Sangamesha (Bharatha) and 'Sangameswara Mangalam'. Beyond performing, she conducts lecture demonstrations and workshops, and is currently pursuing research studies in Mohiniyattam at Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University. Awards & Honours: Scholarship from Central Government of India (CCRT) (2007), Doordarshan 'B' grade artist (2014), Junior Fellowship (2017), Nalanda Nritya Nipuna Award, Doordarshan 'A' grade artist.
