Shruthi Potturi is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Kuchipudi, with training also in Bharatanatyam and exposure to Kathak and Indian folk traditions. She began her dance journey at the age of five and has dedicated 12 years to training in Kuchipudi under Guru Srilatha at the Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School. Potturi has completed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram and her Kuchipudi Rangapravesam, the latter of which was presented by Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School on August 12, 2018. With over 18 years of experience in Indian classical dance, Shruthi Potturi has performed extensively across the United States and internationally. Her performance venues include prestigious platforms such as The Bhavan in London, Natyanjali dance festivals across India, and the World Congress of Dance Research in Athens, Greece. As a committed student and assistant instructor at Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School in Irving, Dallas, she has showcased her talent in numerous local and national productions. Notably, in April 2024, she portrayed Goddess Saraswati in the 'Kalyana Srinivasam' production during the school's 25th-anniversary celebrations. She is also slated to perform a Kuchipudi presentation at Ra-Ve's Yuva Utsav in February 2026. Shruthi Potturi's artistic skill has been recognized with honors including the title "Natyalatika" and a first-place win at the Natyakalakaar Dance Competition. Beyond her performance career, she serves as an assistant instructor at Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School and co-instructs Classical Fusion Dance workshops, contributing to the propagation of Indian classical dance.
