Simran Sunil Vudayagiri is an emerging Bharatanatyam dancer who recently performed her arangetram, titled "Nritya Archana," in early May 2025 at the UNSW Science Theatre in Sydney, Australia. Born to Sunil and Pooja Vudayagiri, Simran began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of five under the tutelage of Guru Nikhila Kiran, the founder of the Natyanivedan Dance School in Sydney. At the time of her arangetram, Simran was fifteen years old. Her repertoire for the debut performance was noted for its variety and versatility, paying homage to figures like Shankaracharya and Purandara Dasa, and featuring a strong Kannada influence. A unique aspect of her performance was the main item, Varna – Sudarshana Chakra, which focused on Vishnu's divine spinning disc rather than a specific deity. Beyond Bharatanatyam, Simran also pursues Carnatic music and holds a black belt in Karate.
