Smrithi Krishnamoorthy is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, recognized for her confident and expressive performances. She is a disciple of Guru Anitha Guha, under whose tutelage she has honed her skills and presented elevating and entertaining repertoires. Krishnamoorthy is known for the sheen and finish in her movements and impeccable sense of timing. Her performances often feature traditional pieces, including Pushpanjali, Narayana Bhattadri's 'Agre pashyami' from the Narayaneeyam, and the tana varnam 'Sami daya juda' choreographed by her guru. She has also showcased dramatic ragamalika inserts and inspired visualizations in her presentations. Beyond her performing career, Smrithi Krishnamoorthy is also a graded artist at Doordarshan Kendra. She has explored dance as a viable career path, discussing various work opportunities, including choreography and teaching. Notably, she also holds a qualification as a Chartered Accountant, demonstrating her dedication and perseverance, qualities she attributes to her dance training.
