Sriparna Bose is a distinguished Indian classical Odissi dancer, teacher, and institution head based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Her artistic journey in Odissi commenced under the tutelage of Guru Muralidhar Majhi and further blossomed under the guidance of Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Guru Aloka Kanungo, with whom she continues to train. Bose holds a Master's degree in Odissi Dance from Rabindra Bharati University, where she achieved First Class Second Rank in 1999. Prior to her Master's, she earned a Bachelor's with special honors in Odissi Dance from the same university in 1997, and a B.Sc. in Eco-Science from the University of Calcutta in 1994. Throughout her career, Sriparna Bose has garnered significant recognition for her dedication and excellence in classical dance. She was a casual artist with the Song & Drama Division of the Government of India from 1998-2000 and again from 2009-2011. As a senior disciple and devoted member of Shinjan Nrityalaya, she has mesmerized audiences across India and abroad through solo and group performances. Bose founded AHABAN (Kalindi Ahaban Cultural Association), a school dedicated to Indian Classical Odissi Dance, where she nurtures young talent. Under her guidance, one of her students has received the Junior National Scholarship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Ministry of Culture. She also organizes the "ALOK MURALI FESTIVAL" as a tribute to her gurus, Muralidhar Majhi and Aloka Kanungo.
