Sunayana Jampanaboyana is a Kuchipudi dancer and the Managing Director & VP/Secretary of the Kritya Foundation, a non-profit organization established in New York dedicated to preserving and furthering the tradition of Kuchipudi and Carnatic Music. Her passion for Kuchipudi was ignited at the age of 15 under the tutelage of Dr. K. Neelima Raju. Jampanaboyana holds a diverse background that includes biomedical engineering, entrepreneurial strategy, and movement studies, complemented by guided research into the sociopolitical contexts of traditional Indian arts. In 2017, she presented her first full-length solo recital and earned a Level 1 Certification in Kuchipudi from the International Dance Council (CID-UNESCO). She has since performed across the United States, notably portraying the character Kuyili in "Veeramangai: The Fearless Women" (2021) by CWRU Nritya, where she also provided choreographic direction for the character. Sunayana integrates contemporary Western influences into her artistic practice through intensive training and mentored choreographic research. She is actively honing her Kuchipudi artistry under the guidance of Yamini Kalluri at the Kritya School of Dance. Jampanaboyana aspires to refine her Kuchipudi skills and eventually pass on her knowledge and love for the art form to future students. Awards & Honours: Level 1 Certification in Kuchipudi (2017).
