She began her Odissi journey in Mumbai, India, under the tutelage of Guru Nivedita Mukherjee. In 2009, Trilok immigrated to the United States, where she continued her advanced training with Shipra A. Mehrotra (also known as Shipra Avantica Mehrotra) at the Avantica Academy of Odissi Dance, who is recognized as one of the most celebrated US-based Odissi dancers today. Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Suprita Trilok has performed extensively across the United States and India.
