Sushmita Pednekar is an Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam, who is recognized as both a performer and a teacher. She is an alumna of the Kalangan Centre For Performing Arts, where she successfully completed her ALANKAR degree with a first class from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Pednekar has been actively involved in the art form for over 18 years, showcasing her talent at various prestigious festivals, including the Nrutyankur festival in Pune, the Nakshatra festival, and the Yuva Pratibhotsav (Yuva Sangeet Sammelan) organized by the Department of Art and Culture. She has also performed at the Women's Day festival organized by Ravindra Bhavan Margao and the Serendipity Arts Festival. In addition to her performances, Sushmita Pednekar is also a choreographer, having created various dance pieces for shows and competitions. She is associated with the Kalangan Centre For Performing Arts as a faculty member. Her choreographic work, particularly in Bharatanatyam, is also featured on her YouTube channel, "Sushmita Vruksha".
