Vaishnavi Srinivasan is a Bharatanatyam dancer based in Chennai, India, recognized as part of the emerging generation of performers in Indian classical dance. She is a dedicated disciple of the renowned Bharatanatyam guru Roja Kannan and has developed a strong foundation in traditional Bharatanatyam technique and repertoire through her association with the prestigious dance institution Bharatha Natyalaya. Vaishnavi had her Arangetram in February 2015, marking her formal debut in the classical dance form. Throughout her career, Vaishnavi Srinivasan has presented performances at various classical dance platforms and festivals. She received significant recognition in 2025 as the second-best dancer in The Music Academy Madras's Spirit of Youth series, an initiative known for identifying promising young artists. She has also performed at venues such as Kasturi Srinivasan Hall in Chennai. Beyond solo performances, Vaishnavi has been associated with Apsaras Arts since 2021, participating in major international productions like Arisi, Amara, and Nirmanika, which have toured across India, Sri Lanka, and the United States. Her commitment to deepening her understanding of Bharatanatyam is evident in her completion of the Nritya Sali program on the 108 Karanas under the guidance of Padma Subrahmanyam at Nrithyodhaya. In addition to her performance and training, Vaishnavi explores complementary skills such as nattuvangam, photography, and design related to dance. She was also a finalist in the first season of the reality show “Natyaratna” on Sri Sankara TV and is a member of ABHAI, actively participating in workshops and group recitals organized by the institution.
