Graduated from Kerala Kalamandalam — Emerged as a rank-holding student in Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam.

Founded Nrityalaya — Established her institution for classical Indian dance forms in Kozhikode.

1983
Received Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award — Awarded for her excellence in Bharatanatyam.

Nrityalaya relocated — Moved to its current Chalappuram premises, inaugurated by Vempati Chinna Satyam.
