A Bharatanatyam performing artiste, dance teacher, & the Artistic Director of Soundarya Natya Kalalaya Calgary, Kavita started learning this divine classical art from the tender age of 5. She has quite a few performances to her credit staged in various parts of India and abroad. She has performed in different dance productions of Bharatanatyam. She was an assistant teacher at SNKF, Mumbai and also an official faculty for Bharatnatyam dance at Sanskriti, IIT Mumbai. She continues to learn this fine art under the able guidance of Guru Smt. Padmini Radhakrishnan. Currently, she serves as a torch-bearer of this premier institution, here in Calgary, Canada.
