President and CEO of Nirthyakalanjali Dance Academy and Niro Dance Creations. Well known for promoting Indian Classical Dances and Other contemporary fusion dances among the younger generation for the past 25 years. Accomplished Indian classical dance performer, choreographer and teacher who strongly believe in promoting values of Indian culture through Bharathanatyam. Received initial training in Bharathanatyam from Smt. Balasundari Kanagasabai and Smt. Gowri Muthukumaraswami. Later mastered specialized techniques in Bharathanatyam through the guidance of Guru Vijayambikai Indrakumar. Studies were concluded through the teachings of Guru Adayar K. Lakshmanan. Completed Bharatha Choodamani diploma for dance and Nattuvangam at the Institute of Bharathachoodamani and obtained Bachelor of Science degree at Madras University. Initiated Nirthya Kalanjali Academy of Fine Arts in Toronto, Ontario in 1990. Director of the Tamil Cultural Progressive Organization – Canada and a member of the South Asian Philanthropic Council of the Scarborough Hospital. Creative choreographer who has successfully produced several programs and received numerous awards. Promotes self-discipline, culture and arts for youth within the South Asian Community.
