She received her comprehensive training in the Odissi dance form under the revered Guru Smt. Debi Basu, a leading exponent and choreographer of Odissi. Basu's artistic journey has seen her evolve into a recognized soloist and a dedicated educator, contributing significantly to the propagation and enrichment of Odissi across India. Her career is marked by numerous performances at prestigious festivals and events. Archana Basu has graced stages across the country, presenting the intricate beauty of Odissi. Notably, she was an integral part of Guru Debi Basu's grand production of the "Geeta Govindam" Odissi dance ballet, staged in Mumbai in 2017, where she performed alongside other talented artists.
