Asjita Pradhan, also known as Shatabdi Mallik or Shatabdi Dey Mallick, is a distinguished Odissi dancer, teacher, and institution head based in Kolkata, India. She commenced her Odissi training in 1997 under the tutelage of Padmashree Guru Durga Charan Ranbir, a celebrated exponent of the Deba Prasad Gurukul style. In 2001, she founded Shatabdi Nrityayan in Kolkata, an institution dedicated to the promotion and propagation of Odissi dance, where she has been actively teaching since its inception. Pradhan is recognized for her contributions to Indian classical dance, holding national scholarships and being an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and a Doordarshan A-Graded artist. Her career as a performer and choreographer has seen her present Odissi both nationally and internationally, including conducting workshops and performances at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Paris. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, highlighting her excellence in Odissi dance. Awards & Honours: Junior Scholarship (1998), Senior Scholarship (2010), Empanelled Artist, Parampara Awardee (2009), 1st in Junior Category Odissi Dance Contest (1996), 2nd in Sub-Junior Category Odissi Dance Contest (1997), 1st in Odissi Dance in 3rd Dasee Festival (1998), 1st in Junior Group of DANCE 'N' DANCE Contest (1997), 1st in Odissi Dance Contest (1999), 2nd in Rishav Talent Contest (1999), Winner of 'TAAL SE TAAL MILA' Contest (2001), 1st in Odissi Dance Contest (Junior Category) (2006), 1st in Odissi Dance Contest (Senior Category) (2009).
