Divyatha Arun is a highly skilled and advanced Bharatanatyam dancer, whose performances are marked by exceptional technical prowess and expressive depth. She received her training under the tutelage of Guru K.J. Sarasa. Her technique is lauded for her excellent control over her body, crisp steps, and superb laya (rhythmic precision). A hallmark of her mastery is her ability to mentally "pre-shape" her poses, resulting in exquisitely carved and executed movements. She demonstrates effortless, swift, and full torso bends in every direction, along with a remarkable command over the dancing space, utilizing even limited areas with notable effectiveness. Divyatha Arun's artistry extends to the nuanced aspects of angika abhinaya and nrittas, particularly her command of 'lasya' – a more demanding style characterized by a wide range of speeds and, crucially, accelerations and decelerations. This dynamic quality imbues her angika abhinaya with depth and makes her nritta intricate, graceful, captivating, and professional. She has been praised for her brilliance in conveying powerful narratives, such as the supreme power of Vamana, and her superb execution of prayer poses invoking Krishna.
