Keerthana Ravi is an accomplished Indian classical Bharatanatyam dancer, performer, teacher, and curator, originally from Bangalore and currently based in Mumbai. Her dance journey began at the age of three with ballet at Alliance Francaise Bangalore, before she started her Bharatanatyam training at seven under the tutelage of renowned Guru Smt. Padmini Ramachandran. She trained with Smt. Ramachandran for approximately 21 years, and is currently undergoing advanced training with veteran performer Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan. Keerthana Ravi holds a post-graduate degree in Communication Management and Fine Arts. She is recognized as an A-Grade Artiste of Doordarshan and has performed internationally, representing India as a youth cultural ambassador at the 2005 World Youth Congress in Scotland. She founded the RasaBodhi Art Foundation and is notably credited with organizing "EVAM," India's first crowdfunded classical dance festival, in Mumbai in 2016. During the pandemic, she created two new productions, "Varsham" and "Adjayega Hans Akela," through a mentorship project with Kathak exponent Prerana Shrimali. In October 2024, she premiered her production 'Movements of Resistance' at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. Keerthana Ravi transitioned to pursuing dance full-time around the age of 26-27, after a corporate career.
