Priyanka Raghavan is an accomplished Indian classical dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam. Hailing from Thrissur, she relocated to Bangalore during her childhood, where she continued her rigorous training in Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Guru Padmini Ramachandran. By 2012, she had completed 15 years of dedicated study under her guru, a journey that included her arangettam (debut performance) at the tender age of 10, approximately in 2007. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Raghavan is also academically accomplished, holding a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree. She views dance not as a distraction from her studies but as a vital stress reliever, demonstrating a balanced approach to her passions and profession. Throughout her career, Priyanka Raghavan has showcased her talent on various prestigious platforms. She has performed solo at the Sharadostav Dance Festival, the Dance Festival in Chennai organized by Karthik Fine Arts, and the Indian Institute of World Culture. Her dedication to the art form has been recognized with accolades such as the Kishore Prathibhe Award in dance, presented by the Department of Kannada and Culture. While Bharatanatyam remains her primary focus, she has also expressed an interest in exploring other classical dance forms, specifically Mohiniyattam, indicating a continuous desire for artistic growth and exploration.
