Vibha Harikar began her dance training at the age of seven with Smt. Girija Rajendran in Dubai, U.A.E., where she gained a solid foundation in Bharatanatyam and was exposed to Mohiniattam and Kuchipudi. She further refined her Bharatanatyam skills under Smt. Padmini Ravi, specializing in the "Vazhavoor" style. Harikar was also trained in Carnatic music and dance theory, and she currently teaches Bharatanatyam in Fairfax, Virginia.
